AstraZeneca’s research office located 30 km south of Stockholm, has a unique office lobby design. Right after the entrance seen long rows of sofas with walls covered with greenery plants kind of moss from top to bottom. The office lobby is deliberately designed with a unique theme namely “vertical garden”, aims to create beautiful atmosphere inside the room. So that everyone eyes who visited and sat there served by refreshing views. The plants selection on both sides of the wall are very similar, but with slightly different variations for modern office lobby.
The right wall was given plants with very little leaves such as Glauca Pilea and Rotundifolia Peperomia,creating similar character to moss plants. Among these small plants, there are a few larger solitary plant. On the left wall planted with plants usually grow in tropical rain forests, such as Anthurium and some Bromeliads. Equipped with long sofas placed facing each other with a small long table in the middle arranged rows along the room lobby. room lined along the lobby. The color chosen are combination of white and yellow floral pattern on the seat pad seen in harmony with the green color plants that dominate the entire space. In each of the sofa, every side there is a box that serves as potted plants, cultivated small plants commonly found in lowland kind of Aroids.
Lobby lighting and sunlight are important aspects to considered in order the plants inside maintained well, and always look fresh and beautiful. Each room lights has a different function. In general, all serve to provide illumination to the entire room and also add an accent that makes the room seen more beautiful, like a dim lamp located in one arm chair and rope lighting mounted on the bottom of the couch.
